VizhaLink Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms & User Eligibility

By creating an account, browsing an event website, uploading photos, submitting guestbook wishes, or utilizing AI face matching on VizhaLink ("Platform" or "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the legal age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use VizhaLink. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organization or family event, you represent that you have the requisite authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Celebration Event Platform & Host Responsibilities

VizhaLink provides customizable celebration websites and interactive lounges for diverse celebration categories including Weddings, Engagements, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baby Showers, Housewarmings, Corporate Events, and Custom Celebrations.

• Event Creation & Customization: Event hosts can customize digital invitations, schedule timelines, family story modules, dress codes, Google Maps venue navigation, and custom celebration sections.
• Access Codes & Privacy Controls: Hosts are responsible for maintaining access codes, event visibility settings, and monitoring guest submissions within their private celebration lounges.
• Host Gallery Moderation: Hosts have the authority to categorize albums, approve photo uploads, set upload windows, and delete or hide photos that violate event guidelines.

3. AI Face Matching & Photo Discovery

VizhaLink offers an automated AI Photo Finder powered by AWS Rekognition facial analysis. By opting into this service:

4. Media Uploads, Cloudflare R2 Storage & Intellectual Property

All photos, videos, and media assets uploaded to VizhaLink are securely stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage with global CDN caching.

Ownership: Hosts and guests retain 100% intellectual property ownership of all photographs, wishes, text messages, and media uploaded to the platform.

License Grant to VizhaLink: By uploading media to an event gallery or guestbook, you grant VizhaLink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license solely to host, store, transcode, generate thumbnails, perform facial indexing, and display the media to authenticated attendees of that celebration.

5. Client-Side Geofenced Attendance Verification

VizhaLink provides physical venue check-in verification using geofencing. To protect guest privacy, all GPS calculations and geofence comparisons are executed 100% locally in the client's browser. Exact GPS coordinates are never transmitted, saved, or logged on our backend servers.

6. Web Push Notifications & PWA Capabilities

When enabled by the user, VizhaLink utilizes Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Web Push notifications to deliver real-time alerts when new photo matches are found or important celebration announcements are published. You may opt out or revoke notification permissions at any time via your browser or device settings.

7. Code of Conduct & Prohibited Content

Users agree not to upload, post, or distribute any content that:

• Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, sexually explicit, abusive, or threatening.
• Infringes upon third-party copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights.
• Contains malware, computer viruses, or malicious tracking scripts.
• Attempts to reverse-engineer or disrupt the platform infrastructure.

VizhaLink reserves the right to remove non-compliant content and suspend accounts that violate these community standards.

8. Data Retention, Account Deletion & Right to be Forgotten

We uphold your Right to be Forgotten. You can perform instant, self-service account and biometric data deletion at any time by navigating to /delete-account or through your profile settings. Account deletion permanently purges your authentication records, selfie profile, and match documents.
