We collect only the essential information needed to provide you with a seamless celebration experience:
- Account Data: Display name, email address, and profile photo provided via Google Authentication.
- Celebration Submissions: Event details, RSVPs, attendance choices, digital guestbook wishes, audio/text notes, and uploaded photos.
- Voluntary Face Profile Selfie: A single reference selfie photo uploaded by guests who choose to use the AI Photo Finder.
2. AWS Rekognition Facial Analysis & Biometric Protection
To allow celebration attendees to discover photos of themselves without scrolling through thousands of gallery images, we employ AWS Rekognition facial analysis:
Facial Data Privacy Safeguards
- Vector Coordinate Analysis Only: We extract mathematical coordinate vectors solely to match faces between your selfie and celebration event galleries.
- No Commercial Biometric Exploitation: We never sell, rent, or trade your facial vectors, and we never use your images for marketing or model training.
- Scoped Celebration Matching: Matching is strictly confined to the specific celebration events you have joined or attended.
- Immediate Vector Purge on Deletion: When you delete your selfie or account, all underlying biometric indices are permanently eradicated.
3. 100% Client-Side Geofencing (Zero GPS Tracking)
🔒 Zero-Knowledge Location Verification
When you check in at an event venue, your physical location is verified entirely inside your device browseragainst the host's geofence perimeter. Your raw GPS coordinates are never sent to our servers, logged in databases, or tracked over time.
4. Secure Cloudflare R2 Media Storage
All event photographs, album media, and uploaded thumbnails are stored securely in Cloudflare R2 Object Storage. Media is encrypted at rest and in transit via high-grade TLS/HTTPS encryption. Edge CDN distribution ensures fast, reliable, and secure photo delivery.
5. Third-Party Infrastructure Providers
We partner with industry-leading infrastructure providers to deliver our services securely:
- Google Firebase & Google Cloud: Authentication, Firestore databases, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Web Push.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): AWS Rekognition for facial match computing.
- Cloudflare R2: Global distributed object storage for celebration photos.
- Google Maps Platform: Venue address autocomplete and navigation.
6. Your Rights & Instant Account Deletion
You have full autonomy over your personal information:
- Self-Service Account Erasure: Visit /delete-account to permanently wipe your user records, selfie profile, and match documents.
- Photo Match Removal: Soft-delete individual photo matches with a 5-second undo grace period directly from your My Photos gallery.
- Notification Controls: Toggle or revoke push notification permissions in your browser or device settings at any time.
